Book Critique Services

Once your manuscript is complete it needs to be looked at by a publishing professional who specializes in developmental editing or critiquing of your story. A critique will give you an idea about content and flow of the manuscript as well as where there are holes in your plot as well as other things the editor thinks will enhance your project.

At The Book Connection we have a stable of developmental or critiquing editors who specialize in either fiction or nonfiction. We also have people who specialize in children’s books as well. These editors will give your manuscript at least one read through which will be followed up with a 2-6 page written critique for your consideration. As always you, the author, are the final say, and these changes will be input into the final manuscript by you. Below is what we charge for critiquing services:

$400 — 250 pages or less (double spaced w/wide margins)
$500 — 250 to 350 pages (anything over 350 pages needs an individual quote
