Bill M.Graphic Design and Illustration specializing in Children’s Book Illustration

I was born in Akron, Ohio, and grew up in Tallmadge, a suburb.

I started drawing at a early age. I used to copy cartoon strips and later would draw Spiderman and Captain America. I went to Kent State University and graduated with a BFA in Graphic Design where I also worked for several years. I left Kent State to pursue other professional goals, mainly freelancing.

I’ve done various graphic design projects since, none as rewarding as children’s book illustrating. The reason I like illustrating for children is that you might light a spark in child. You can entertain, educate and tell a story, all in one book. It would certainly be a thrill for a child to say that a book that I illustrated was their favorite.

I now live in Houston, Texas with my son Michael, who is six. I see the joy reading brings to children first hand, Michael has started to read me books this past year, and it’s quite thrilling. I am a freelance graphic designer/illustrator, creating marketing, graphic design and advertising for a variety of clients.
