The all-important publicist is a “must” when promoting your book. The Book Connection will consult with you about the hiring of a publicist and refer you to a publicity firm that comes highly recommended. You can expect a publicist to:

• Write press releases
• Distribute press releases to:
  • Newspapers
  • Trade magazines
  • Broadcast media
  • Review sources

You publicist will also provide:

• Contact number (listed on press release)
• Follow-up of release
• Distribution of press kits
• Follow-up with additional info
• Coordination of author’s appearances dates / shows, etc
